Marina Meats opened its doors in November of 2007 and is proud to present Joey Gandolfo, co-owner and head butcher of this fabulous new addition to Chestnut Street. A Marina native son, Joey is a 3rd generation San Franciscan with over 20 years in the meat, fish and poultry business. For 10 years he was a former owner of Puccini Meats, located at the Marina Super location and had spent the prior 13 years at Bryan?s Meats.
Joey grew up in the Marina District and he has a family lineage of providing Fine Meats, Fish & Poultry to generations of Marina Residents. His father was part owner of Joe & Ernie?s Fish and Poultry, which was located at Chestnut and Scott for over 20 years. Joey?s grandfather was a Sicilian Fisherman down at SF?s Fisherman?s Wharf. He has established relationships with fish brokers at the Wharf and will hand pick what he presents at Marina Meats every day. His experience has enabled Joey to have a discriminating level of quality assurance. The various lines of meat, poultry and seafood have all been hand picked by Joey to not only provide the customer with something delicious, but confidence that they are buying the best available product on the market.
As an owner, Joey can now present his own flair to Chestnut Street, where his years of expertise will be given to you, always with a smile and a kind hello. Our store is designed to provide our customers with everything they need to create a great meal. Here you'll find produce, pastas, marinades, salad dressings, and many other fine ingredients for the home chef. And for those of you who aren?t great in the kitchen, we have some oven-ready foods to take home and be done with it!
Specialty items can always be ordered by request, with a few days' notice.
